Those who hope in His mercy…

Praise the Lord!
For it is good to sing praises to our God;
For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. Psalm 147

“Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” Psalm 96v9

The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

“A certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple.” Acts 3v2

He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up all their wounds.

“The sacrifices of God… a broken spirit, a broken heart.” Psalm 51v17

He counts the number of stars,
He calls them all by name.

Great is the Lord, and mighty in power;
His understanding is infinite.

“Silver and gold I do not have but what I have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ, rise up and walk.”

The Lord lifts up the humble;
He casts down the wicked to the ground.

And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.”

Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving;
Sing praises on the harp to our God,
Who covers the heavens with clouds,
Who prepares rain for the earth,
Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
He gives to the beast its food,
And to the young ravens that cry.

“So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them, walking, leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. The they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.”

He does not delight in the strength of the horse;
He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him,
In those who hope in His mercy.

“Why do you look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? His name, through faith in His name has made this man strong… yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem!
Praise your God, O Zion!

“Many of those who heard the word believed.”

He sends out His command to the earth…

“Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands before you whole.”

He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgements to Israel.

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 147,  Psalm 96, Acts 3-4, Psalm 51
